CEO Cristián Arratia Gallardo disclosed that at an income level in 2024, the company met the proposed targets, in addition to maintaining a high standard in the continuity and quality of the power supply.
With more than 8 years in Peru and the support of Transelec, the main power transmission company in Chile, Conelsur continues to consolidate as a key actor in the local energy market, contributing to the development of electrical infrastructure and the country’s growth needs. So stated Cristián Arratia Gallardo, the company’s CEO.
Arratia stressed that the operational experience in transmission systems, coupled with a qualified executive and field team, allows the company to ensure the quality of its work, as well as the system’s stability and robustness.
According to the executive, Conelsur’s commitment is based on three fundamental pillars: operational health and safety, relationships of trust with the communities and respect for the environment.
He reported that the company has a transmission network of approximately 1000 km composed of 220 kV, 138 kV and 60 kV lines connected through 20 substations. This infrastructure allows transporting the energy produced by the generation matrix to various towns in the departments of Lima, Junín, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Huancavelica and Arequipa.
As for the 2024 balance, the company managed to meet the income targets proposed for the year, describing this performance as “very successful”.
He also disclosed that the company has maintained a high standard in terms of the supply’s continuity and quality, which he considered “relevant” for the success of the operation.
Another aspect emphasized by the executive was the company’s firm commitment to safety, a fundamental value that is part of the organization’s essence. “No project is worth more than the health and life of people,” he underlined.
In this sense, he highlighted his role as a major partner for this value, claiming that it is essential for him to be in the field to observe the conditions in which work is carried out and the activities taking place. “It is important to bring a message of solidarity to the team working in the field because the reality of the field is very different when seen from a desk,” he noted.
He specified that every day at Conelsur there is a 10-minute talk about various safety aspects, and they delve a little deeper on Fridays by analyzing different occupational health and safety situations or conditions as well as issues associated with environmental aspects, pillars of sustainable growth over time.
